Allergen Block Review

Oh it’s terrible how bad allergies are here. If it’s not one thing bothering us it’s something else! Fortunately my allergies aren’t as bad as DH’s & DS’. I get my issues about one time a year. It’s usually always the second week of April. That’s right at the beginning of the spring down here when everything starts blooming. DH has had allergy issues for a while. Even though he’s suffering, it drives me nuts! He’s a man, and he’s not discrete with these congestion issues at home. I will spare you but just know it grosses me out!

I made DH go and have an allergy test here recently to see what we could do. We found out that he is allergic to just about everything under the sun including roach dander. I really never even knew there was such a thing. The resolution to the problem would be allergy shots every week. Even with a high quality PPO the price was very high. It’s something that we’re looking into but we may have to wait until next year when DH is suppose to get his paycut back.

Poor DS and his allergies, he has asthma so whenever his allergies act up it just makes for a pitiful experience. The congestion makes his asthma act up so we’ve always got to be mindful. The doctors expect him to grow out of his asthma but in the mean time we have to deal with it. It makes me feel bad when I see him struggle like that!

If you’re checking out this review, you probably can relate to what I’m talking about. Well I’m happy to be able to share some good news with you! Chloraseptic has introduced a new product called Allergen Block!

Chloraseptic™ Allergen Block is a clear topical gel containing petrolatum, glycerin and other ingredients. A patented formulation process creates a positively-charged gel which blocks negatively-charged allergens on contact.” Simply put, Allergen Block works on the outside by creating an invisible shield that helps block airborne allergens before they enter the nose. So you got some bad boy security guards blocking off your nose from the nasty allergens that trigger your allergies!

Allergen Block is super easy to use! All you do is put a small drop on your finger, rub between your finger and thumb and apply the gel around your nostrils and between your nose and upper lip. That’s it. Allergen Block takes care of the rest! Just make sure you use it PRIOR to having your symptoms. You don’t have to worry about becoming drowsy or any nasty side effects because Allergen Block is drug free. It should be noted though that Allergen Block will not protect allergens from coming into contact with your eyes. So say that you held some flowers and then rubbed your eyes and they started watering due to the allergens…Allergen Block can’t help you there. So make sure you always wash your hands when coming into possible triggers. Allergen Block only protects you from what you breathe in. Which, if you think about it, is a lot!

Allergen Block is available for use with all ages. There is “Little Allergies” which is the same product but for children. It works the same exact way. Each tube of the Allergen Block gel contains approximately 150 applications and each application last 4-6 hours.

DH usually has the biggest allergy fits after cutting the grass. So, prior to cutting I got him to put the Allergen Block on. Both of us noticed a big difference from the last time he cut the grass. Like I said before about the eye issue…he wasn’t protected with his eyes so he still got watery. However he was not hacking or sneezing. Once he came in I immediately sent him to the shower to wash off any other allergens. We were both very satisfied with the improvement over the previous time.

As for DS…he’s a little harder to gauge. The tube of “Little Allergies” goes to school with him with directions to put on before he goes outside. Here at the house I also put it on him before he plays outside. I am confident that his nose is protected but the gig is, he’s not watched like a hawk. He’s going to rub his eyes and put his hands in his mouth. As much as we wash the hands and tell him not to do those things it’s hard to supervise. We will continue to work with him to make things better.

If you are an allergy sufferer you know that anything that can help is definitely worth trying. Allergen Block is very affordable and is available from any drug store or Walmart. I would recommend it!

You should look into making your negative allergies into a postive! Right now Allergen Block is running a unique and fun contest. It is called The “Side-Splitting Sneeze Contest” (click the link to enter)! It is exacty what it sounds like! They want to see your silliest sneeze! All you have to do is submit your funniest/silliest sneeze and you will have a chance to win a spa weekend getaway! How cool is that right? If anything, you’re able to make light of the allergy situation as rough as it is.

I received a tube of Allergen Block for the sake of completing this review.
Receipt of these did not sway my opinion.
