Chicken for Months

It really does pay to check out the grocery circulars….even the ones you don’t shop. Last Sunday I just happened to check out the Publix paper. I normally don’t shop them because they’re usually more expensive on a lot of things. However, I did notice they were going to have chicken leg quarters for .59 lb. Now that’s just crazy unheard of! It did take me all week, but I finally made my special trip today. I got 25 lbs of chicken (give or take some .ozs) for $14.97. I portioned them off into meals and put them in the big freezer. Woo hoo! I guess now I’m just going to have to find more recipes lol.

One of our grocery stores here had them for .39 a pound last week!!!! I almost cried because I didn’t have the freezer space for any stocking up. I haven’t seen that price in years!!!! *sigh*
