The Copper Brick Road

FurBuster Review – A MUST for your Pets

All my life, whenever we had dogs, we’ve always had short haired breeds. They were so much easier to keep up with and grooming wasn’t really too much of an issue. Well, I guess I should also add that those dogs were always outside dogs so shedding on furniture was never an issue. I never really liked the idea that they lived outside. I always wanted a puppy to sleep with me. Alas, those were the rules of the house and I had to settle for a stuffed puppy to sleep with instead

Now that I am an adult, I have indoor dogs. My husband protested the idea when we bought our house. You know a happy couple discusses all decisions….however, that was a decision I was not negotiating. I was having a puppy that would sleep with us. So we did. We got a Jack Russell/Pug mix named Puddin’. Puddin had very human like qualities and stretched out to sleep between us. She was super cute and I was happy.

Well, that honeymoon ended after we had our first summer. There was hair everywhere! Puddin’ has very short hair which is like needles. I won’t just have hair on my clothes but rather sticking in my clothes. Her hair is like little needles which makes using a lint roller not as effective. I love little Puddin’ but her hair could go somewhere. We dealt and we dealt. We did a lot of weeping and vacuuming. With just her it was bad, but I knew it could’ve been worse.

In enters worse.

One day, I noticed Puddin’ was looking a little “round”. I might add there wasn’t a rush to get her fixed because she was an indoor dog with a fenced backyard. My sister had been living with us for a little while and had accidentally let Puddin’ out. One thing lead to another and I had a litter of puppies on my hands. Let me tell you, 6 weeks couldn’t come fast enough! Hair everywhere! In addition to other messes. The puppies were adorable though. I did enjoy playing with them, but did not like cleaning up after them (usually how it goes right?). I made a connection with a little black one and decided to keep him. The rest went to good homes. He was named Vader and as he got older, his hair started to get longer and longer. After a trip to the vet, it turned out he had Scottie in him. Great. As if I didn’t already have a hair problem with Puddin’ alone now I had a long haired dog too! (Both are now fixed by the way)

Finally, a solution to my problem! The FurBuster! I love the FurBuster!

The FurBuster is a professional de-shedding tool without the professional price! If you have a pet, you have gotta have this! They shed all the time, especially in the summer. Lord it’s awful! And if you or your child has allergies, I don’t have to tell you how bad it is. The FurBuster is super easy to use! The interchangeable stainless steel blade removes loose hair and undercoat as you simply brush it over your pet. It does not require any special skills or effort. If you can brush your pet, you can use the FurBuster. There are three different blades you can purchase to ensure you get the best grooming possible.

As you can see above, in one use, the FurBuster does a great job. Yeah, I know…gross right? At least it’s not on my clothes or furniture. The tan is from my short haired Puddin’ while the black is from my long haired Vader. I was actually very surprised how well this worked on Puddin’. I didn’t think I would see much since her hair is so short. Of course seeing all that hair off of Vader was great too. He is the WORST about shedding. I was very satisfied! The FurBuster should be used on a daily basis. It won’t 100% eliminate the fur but I have noticed a substantial difference with how much I’ve seen around the house.

Of course, the FurBuster helps the dogs too. It has been so hot down here, the dogs appreciate any help in thinning out their coats. Of course, they loooooove the attention and pampering they receive when they’re getting brushed. Vader actually stretches out further every time I go over the arch of his back. It’s cute.

Taking your pet to the groomer can cost at an average $45 per visit. The FurBuster kit starts at $25. So you can do the math there. The FurBuster is a great alternative and anyone can do it. Even the kids! You can buy one at Walmart, Target, or your local pet store!
