Homemade Bisquick Mix

As a working mom I need all the shortcuts I can get. Bisquick is a very easy, quick, universal product to use. However, if you use it as much as I do….it can get rather expensive. Sooo….I would like to share with you a recipe my grandmother passed along to me. This is a copycat Bisquick recipe. All you have to do is throw this all together and store it either in a ziplock bag or tupperware.

Copycat Bisquick Mix
8 Cups of Flour
1/4 Cup Baking Powder
1 1/4 Cup of Non Fat Dry Milk
1 Tablespoon of Salt
2 Cups of Vegetable Shortening

Mix together dry ingredients then cut in the shortening until it looks like a coarse meal. Store.

Super easy to throw together and super easy to use. I swear this stuff is a life saver for me.

Neat, does it need to be refrigerated or just store in the pantry like the store bought?

I keep mine in the pantry. You just need to make sure it’s a cool place.
