Inglesina Avio Blog Tour

The new Avio stroller from Inglesina is the Ferrari of umbrella strollers. The sporty design and high performance I encountered while experimenting on different terrains makes it a great choice for both city and suburban lives. Of course, any mom has to love the compact size for use and of course storage!

First let me go over the features:
- Inglesina patented umbrella one-hand, single action open/close system.
- Jointed handle to maximize the smoothness and enhance maneuverability of the stroller which can be steered with just one hand.
- Handle equipped with balancing mechanism increasing the stability of the stroller and easing both the closing and opening.
- Pivoting front wheels, with lock-unlock mechanism which, once activated, automatically reaches its ideal position.
- Rear shock absorbing wheels, with ball bearings increasing the smoothness of the stroller even after pronged and vigorous usage.
- Active brake with centralized control: once enabled, it reaches the correct position automatically.
- Roomy storage basket
- Cup holder integrated in the frame.
- Adjustable safety belts with 5 anchoring points.
- Adjustable crotch strap.
- Padded seat unit and backrest, with soft jersey inserts.
- Padded shoulder straps.
- 4-position backrest reclining up to 170°, with centralized control.
- Bumper bar and footrest lining in technical waterproof material, resistant and easy to wash.
- Front footrest adjustable to 3 positions (in the highest position the footrest acts as stabilizer for the carrycot).
- Hood with silent joint, removable together with the bumper bar.
- Viewing window on the hood, to see the baby at any time during the walk.
- Reflective material inserts applied on the hood increase the stroller’s visibility at night.
- Hood flap to provide extra sun protection.
- Stroller and hood lining totally removable and hand washable at 30°.
I really do love the design of the Inglesina Avio. It is quite sporty which is a turn on for me. Not to mention, it is made from aluminum. Being made from aluminum helps keep the Avio lightweight but it also holds up quite well. The structural integrity is great and it’s obviously not “cheap”.
While speaking of the design, I should mention how large *ahem* how compact it is. The dimensions are 109cm (h) x 87cm (d) x 49.5 cm (w) when open and 93cm (h) x 48cm (d) x 32cm (w) when folded. You’re able to fit down more narrow aisles at the store and when it comes to storage, I’m able to fit it in the coat closet! It doesn’t get better than that!
Using the Inglesina Avio was like a dream! When pushing, I was able to push with great ease only using one hand! Let me tell you, I pushed at the mall, through the neighborhood, at the park…seriously it was quite easy! The biggest plus? I didn’t have to deal with the rouge wheel that just decides to turn completely sideways while pushing. Yes, I know you all have experienced this with the cheaper umbrella strollers.
The Inglesina Avio provides a very smooth ride thanks to ball bearings so your wrists/arms and your child are able to remain comfortable no matter how long you push. Oh and the one handed fold *sigh* I love it! Life is so much easier with the one handed fold. Especially when you’re out and about taking or putting it back in the car.

It’s really difficult to narrow it down to just one favorite feature. But I will tell you that what I love the most about the Inglesina Avio is the fact that it was designed to be fully configurable. That’s right, it is equipped with a wide range of optional accessories to satisfy your child’s needs from baby to toddler. i.e carrycot, car seat adapters, stroller bags, ect. So you can buy just this one stroller with the accessories you need, and you can use it from day one all the way up until your child no longer needs a stroller.
