My Trip To Publix Yesterday

So in addition to the new Target we just got 1 mile down the street, the new Publix just opened. Since I was off of work from my motherly duties I decided to take a trip down there. Well yes, even though I was going to do my motherly duty of grocery shopping and yes I did take my son I did go. Nevertheless, it was my womanly curiosity that took me there Anyways, Publix had sent out a direct mail circular with a $5 off a $30 purchase so I figured driving a mile down the street was at least worth $5. Sadly, I can’t walk there because it’s a highway.

Now, my thoughts about Publix are the same as Target. I think they’re higher priced than other competing stores. Of course I am talking about my area. Cost of living varies from area to area so your Publix could be cheaper. However, if you shop the loss leaders it may be the same or cheaper in some cases. Also, I try to remind myself that the time and gas I save by driving a mile down the street could make up for that price difference. Eh, well see.

I looked over the sales paper, gathered up my coupons, and made the trip.
