The Copper Brick Road

Myself Belts Review and Giveaway (CLOSED)

My son is now at an age where he feels he must do everything himself. He’s a big boy don’t you know? Ah, you gotta love it! In addition to wanting to do everything himself, he wants to do everything to be like daddy. He has got to have shoes like daddy, he has got to have shirts like daddy, if daddy’s not wearing a shirt he’s not either, if daddy sits in the recliner with the foot rest up he’s in the other one with his foot rest up. I mean, the list could truly go on forever. I knew this would eventually happen (the independent part) I just didn’t think it would be so soon *sniff sniff*

It came up a little while ago that my son had seen my husband getting dressed and putting on his belt. So then the issue came up about wanting a belt. I gave him a belt and tried to do it up for him, but he wasn’t going to have that. He had to do it himself. Well, after attempting to show him how to do it, he just ended up getting upset because he couldn’t quite grasp it. Which was what I was afraid of. I had to figure out some way that he could feel like a big boy by doing this belt himself. Ah ha! Myself Belts!

Myself Belts provides super cute belts that little kids can do themselves. Thank goodness! Now my son doesn’t have to feel like he’s missing out! They’re really simple to use:

Step 1 1 & 2
When facing your child, SNAP the end of the belt around the front right belt loop (child’s left), keeping the velcro facing out.
Step 2
Step 3 3
SLIDE the rest of the belts through the loops.
Step 4 4
Join ends together to SECURE the rest of the belts through the loops.
That’s it! It is very easy to use!

My son was totally stoked that he had a belt just like daddy’s that he could do himself. Well, it wasn’t exactly like daddy’s. It was way cooler because it had construction equipment on it. He was tough! Once he put it on (all correctly might I add) he was so proud of himself. To see the accomplishment he felt was priceless.

As a mom, I love Myself Belts because it’s letting my son stretch his independence and increase his self esteem. Yes, really! I know it’s such a simple concept but to young kids it’s not that simple of a concept. Anything they can do on their own, and achieve is great growth for them. Also, these belts are nicely made. The belt we got was actually make of a high quality canvas. With no holes, you have a belt that lasts longer which makes it a great frugal pick! Myself Belts are great!
