New Me Challenge Week of 1/5-11/11
I am making small changes instead of making huge ones I know I won’t be able to keep. I have increased my snacking at work so I’m not just eating breakfast and lunch. For my snacking, I went to Aldi and got carrot sticks, low-fat ranch dressing, and caramel rice cakes. I’ll tell ya what, I am pleasantly surprised on how the rice cakes tasted. To me, they kind of taste like honey comb cereal. At 50 calories a piece, I can deal with that. Every time I feel myself getting hungry I snack on these. I am slowing making my portions smaller and I am trying my hardest to only have one serving. I have also been looking for low calorie meal ideas so I am really trying to work on that. Also, I have been using Splenda more in the cooking.
As far as exercising goes, I have been walking and I did get DH to go out walking with me which was a significant plus. I have been working on the Wii Fit. I just got My Fitness Coach but I haven’t gotten to try it out yet. When I post next week I’ll let you know how it went.
Everything is going so, so….nothing really significant to report yet. I haven’t decided how I’m going to weigh myself yet. I don’t think I wanna do it on a weekly scale. Maybe monthly?

My daughter has suggested that I eat at least 6 times a day. YES 6 times. Not full meals but eat breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack. By doing this you keep your metabolism going.
