I will try to turn off the light when I am not using it, which in the past I am very much the opposite of that! every bit helps, so i start from small things that I can do to save money! lol

Happy New Year! I will be (trying to) eliminate shopping for “trendy” clothes and instead only buy things that I know I will want to use in the future and will last forever. Also, my boyfriend and I will be going out to dinner/movies less and instead we will be cooking at home and renting movies for date-nights. Lastly, I plan to enter to win beautiful things like these earrings so that I can save money on jewelry – if I win these I won’t have to go to that website and buy them lol! I do love them so much, they’re gorgeous. Thanks for the giveaway!

I’m saving money and the environment this year by not buying bottled water. Sometimes I forget to take my Klean Kanteen with me, so I’m keeping a glass jar (past life: spaghetti sauce jar) full of water in my car so I don’t have to stop somewhere for water in a plastic bottle.

    Hi,
One way we are saving money is by not eating fast food after church on Sundays. We now come home and eat leftovers. This is saving us about $80 each month.

boy I could make a HUGE list, but I am already frugal. I did put the hammer down on ZERO fast food. Those lil McD’s kids meals toys were killing my budget, don’t ya know.
Also I am drinking LOTS more water. It’s good for me and I eat less, and don’t spend $$ on sodas.

One way we will be saving money this year is by planting a garden. It is cheaper and saves a bunch as opposed to buying the veggies from the store. We started with a small one last year and might expand it this year with more things we like and less we don’t. Thanks angiesue43@verizon.net

  77. Lea says:
This year to save money, I’ve been cutting out coupons and using them for ONLY the things that I really need at the time. I also have 4 grocery stores near me, so I look at their adds that come in my mailbox and the sunday paper and make my list by stores instead of foods. Then I purchase my groceries at the different stores, depending on who’s sale is best. Since the stores are so close to me and each other, gas going to different stores isn’t an issue. I have found I save more on groceries, than using the gas to go to the different stores, so it’s worth it to me!

Also no more disposable diapers whatsoever. We have a few sposies left and that’s it. I’m not throwing my money away anymore.
