Scrabble Flash Review and Giveaway (CLOSED)

Congratulations to Tandra! Thank you to everyone who played!

I have been a long time fan of the Scrabble game. I can remember the first time I’d ever played the game. It was back in 7th grade. My English teacher would get us into groups and we’d play Scrabble every Friday. While in retrospect I know it was a learning experience, at the time I always looked forward to Fridays because I knew that was an hour we didn’t have to do any work! I liked it so much that I just HAD to have a Scrabble game for Christmas, which I got.

Looking back on those easier times, it’s sad to know that I haven’t touched Scrabble in sooooo many years. Of course now, with 2 kids, 2 dogs, a husband, a 9-5 job, and a blog you can see where time kind of gets away from me. That’s why I was so excited to get a chance to review the new Scrabble Flash!

Let me give you the description of Scrabble Flash from the Hasbro website:

It’s up to you to find words in a “flash” with this fun, electronic version of the classic SCRABBLE game! Use the interactive SmartLink tiles to build your words and they’ll flash and beep with each word you make! They’ll also automatically time your turns and display your score with the maximum possible score. Put your skills to the test with three different solo and competitive games and slide, swap and shuffle your way to a win. It’s fast-paced, addictive, word-building fun!

Includes 5 SmartLink letter tiles, storage box and rules.

Includes 5 “button cell” batteries. For 1 or more players.

Ages 8 and up.

Now let me give you the four words on why I love Scrabble Flash: It – Can – Go – ANYWHERE ! There’s no board with tiles to set up which means it can go wherever you go. I really love how it can just fit in my bag and is ready to be played with whenever I’m ready. I have found myself playing with it several times on my lunch break at work when I just want a moment to myself.

Scrabble Flash
is great for when you’re by yourself but it can also be a great family game. My husband and I have played several games together. Also, it’s a great learning tool too. While Hasbro does advise for years 8 and up, I have found it a great learning tool for Mr. B who will be going into Kindergarten in the fall (sniff sniff). It’s great to work on small words for learning to read and spell. And like I said, it can go anywhere. So whether we’re on the way to the ball field or the grandparents, we can always have fun learning!

You should definitely check it out! You can find it on for $26.99!
