The Lord Works In Mysterious Ways

So, you might’ve read about our refinance in a previous post. Well, we finally closed yesterday. I was totally stoked that we were going to have an extra $200 a month. Well, today we got a bit a bad news. Seems as though DH’s company got some poor future projections so they are requiring everyone to take a 5% pay cut. Now, I am not complaining by any means. I am glad that his company is taking action now before there is a serious problem. I am just hoping that by taking this action it will either prevent layoffs or to keep there from being too many. I am extremely thankful that he still has his job! However, the 5% pay cut equals $200 a month. How crazy is that? God was telling me to refinance the house. It was just crazy to me that we closed yesterday and got the bad news today and the fact that the figures were so exact to each other. $200 even. Wow.

sorry for the bad news but seriously i don’t think I will ever tire of hearing stories like this. Even though I know first hand God’s awesome power and constant working in our lives, I LOVE to hear stories where it’s so clearly played out in front of us.
Hope it’s a short term cut back and you may actually SEE that extra $200! but in the mean time, kudos to you for stopping and listening to his prompting.

In recent months iA have definitely learned to respect my intuitions and accept theat they may be whispers from our Lord. You did great listening. Sorry it had to be as is but I’m happy you refinanced so that this cut back will not be too hard on your family. Blessings to you and yours.

The Lord knows what we need before we get to the need. It sounds like you moved on your mortgage just in time. Keep following the Lord!

I love how sometimes things work out that way. For some reason you just have a gut feeling and go with it. Not that I am loving your cutback situation, I hate cutting back anything, but it will be nice to know that you won’t be in the hole.
