WANTED: A Few Good Bloggers REWARD!!

Have you ever held or attended a home show party? You know, where either makeup, jewelry, handbags ect were sold? Those parties can be a lot of fun and rewarding for the hostess! However in some cases it can be a burden with clearing out your schedule, cleaning the house, getting snacks to serve…the whole nine yards.

I was trying to think out of the box for a solution to where one could host a party, get rewarded, but not really have to do a lot of work. Ah ha! How about using your blog to advertise a web show? In essence, all that would need to be done is a blog post advertising the “party” and your regular site visitors could be your guests. Then once they placed an order through my website they could leave a comment on your page saying so and you would get credit. So it’d kinda be like having a party on your blog. Ooooh this sounds like it could be interesting! I mean, there’s nothing more frugal than getting free stuff for almost doing nothing.

So this is what I threw together:

Mary Kay Web Show

Here is a fun and easy way to earn free product:

Host a Mary Kay Web Show.

Just ask your friends to go to http://www.marykay.com/rebecca.sprouse on the date you specify, and for 48 hours, they can shop away (website has secure server and accepts credit card orders)!! Your guests’ orders will be processed and shipped by me. All they have to do is leave a message in your comments saying they placed an order so you’ll get credit for the sale.

Hostess Credit

20% in FREE PRODUCT for all Website orders received

PLUS…..

An extra surprise bonus with at least one booking and $200 in total sales from your Web Show!

Guest Benefits

Your guests will receive:

· Free Shipping PLUS A Free Gift

· The opportunity for a free virtual makeover

· An additional special gift if their orders is over $40

· Mary Kay Hostess rewards when they book their own Web show.

· The opportunity to have their very own Personal Beauty Consultant

What a fantastic way to earn what’s been on your wish list or find that perfect gift for someone special!!

My website does have a secure server to accept credit card/debit card orders so I never see anyone’s credit info. Also, if a buyer would like to pay via Paypal they may as well. Just during checkout they would click the “contact me for payment” and I can send them a Paypal invoice.

If you’d be interested in this, please email me at rebecca (dot) sprouse (at) gmail (dot) com

So, whattcha think?

I might be interested…but only if people can pay you directly via PayPal or credit card.

I have a friend who sells PartyLite candles and she wanted me to have an online party for her…I was all for it…until I found out that people would have to pay me directly, either with a check made out to her or by giving *me* their credit card number.

I can’t imagine giving even my closest friends my credit card number…and it feels kind of weird to make a check out to a stranger, too. So, I didn’t have the party for her.

I guess the other option I had was collecting checks and money myself, but that would have taken time and would have been a hassel.

It just seems like with the online world there could be an easier way.

    Let me know!

    Thanks!

When I said, “Pay You Directly via Credit Card”…I meant, paying online with a cc, via a secure site, not actually giving you their number.

I think this is a super idea and very timely! My International Association of Administrative Professionals CWM Division (mouthful, heh?)is doing a fundraiser and this is a great way to get additional visitors.

Would this be appropriate on Facebook or Linkedin?

I do this all the time with Tupperware. I actually set up a Party page, orders are always secure and no CC info is ever seen by me or anyone else.
The person hosting the party gets a gift card to Tupperware depending how much is sold at the party.
It is fun, a party in your PJ’s is what I call it. Tupperware is BIG right now with the Ecconomy being so tight. Not many people eating out, eating lots of leftovers, you don’t want to waste food etc…
I love online parties. All the fun, none of the hassle!!

I can’t do it right now, but will definitely do it sometime in the future! Its a GREAT idea! I love hosting parties but it would be too hard with a newborn! This would be a great way to get the hostess rewards and shop without interrupting the baby’s schedule! We could even have a twitter party with it! Great idea!

This girl is smart! I love the way she thinks out of the box! Personally, I’ve been more successful with selling MK one on one to people I meet online rather than throwing web parties, but shake things up a bit and do it your way— looks like you’ve got some interest!

And nope, she doesn’t see your credit card number if you pay her via her website– your card gets charged when she goes in and inputs the amount (she’ll add tax and shipping), but she doesn’t see the card number- it’s a neat system. Don’t forget to play with the free virtual makeover! :)
